Joseph had his first Drs. appointment this week, the day before he was 3 weeks old. It was our inaugural solo trip out of the house, just me and J. I was nervous, but wanted to tackle this feat and the office is only 5 minutes from the house. Went off without a hitch, but not without quite a bit of preparation (took me all day to get ready and recover from a 30 minute appointment) and sweat (it was 100 degrees!). Sweet Dr. Frizzell confirmed what we thought to be true--he was mis-measured at the hospital. Joseph's new stats are 9lbs, 5 oz. and 23" long! He is in the 95th percentile for "height". We knew those legs were long! He cracked me up taking this picture! Things continue to go great for us...our little man is a very healthy and content baby, eating and sleeping most of the time and making ridiculous faces in his spare moments. We are loving every second, even the gassy, fussy ones (thankfully they are few and far between).
Thankfully, my recovery from the C-section is going very well and I was feeling up to making the trip to Chattanooga for Billy's brother's wedding when Joseph was 13 days old.( I will post on that as soon as we sort through the hundreds of photos).
